CTIC - Leather Technology Center in Portugal, was founded in 1992, in a joint initiative of leather companies, with the Portuguese State.
Currently with a team of 26 qualified professionals, and supported by its ISO 17025 accredited Laboratories, CTIC offers a very wide range of services in key areas such as Innovation and Technological Development, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Environment, Energy Efficiency, Safety Work, Food Security and Management Systems Certification, complemented by a GAPI - Office for the Support of Industrial Property Promotion.
In the area of Management Systems, CTIC has an accumulated experience of over twenty years in supporting the implementation in companies from different sectors of activity and of different dimensions, including Quality - ISO 9001, Environment - ISO 14001, Safety and Health - OSHAS 18001, Food Security - ISO 22000, as well as Integrated Systems.
Knowing the importance of Vocational Training to increase the productivity of employees and, consequently, the competitiveness of companies, CTIC is officially recognized for this purpose.
In order to always be at the forefront of the most recent technological developments, CTIC invests in carrying out R&D Projects, in collaboration with entities from the national and European scientific and technological system, transferring the developed know-how to companies.
Another aspect to be highlighted is the contribution to the elaboration of Portuguese and International Standards, as Sectorial Standardization Body - ONS, participating in the work of CEN - European Committee for Standardization.
